Jameson Detweiler is in the SuperNOVA Program at Drexel University in which he is getting his BS in Materials Engineering and his PhD in Civil Engineering. Jameson is the president of the Drexel Smart House, a group which is turning a 4500 sq. ft. Philadelphia home into a "living laboratory" for students to live in and experiment with new technologies and designs for living. His graduate research is in creating movable walls for the Smart House. Aaron Hoover earned one of the four engineering scholarships at Grove City College. Graduating in May of 2008 Aaron works for Honda of America doing transmission research and testing for their new automobiles. In order to properly test transmissions, Honda America sent Aaron to high speed driving school in California which he successfully completed.
Benjamin Long graduated with a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He has also received a commission in the United States Navy as an Unrestricted Line Officer. Since commissioning, Benjamin and his wife Christine are living in Charleston, SC where he will attend Nuclear Power School in preparation to serve on board a nuclear power submarine.
Priscilla Liu, 2005 graduate, is studying linguistics and Chinese with a Korean minor at the University of Pittsburgh. She is also a Chancellor's Undergraduate Research Fellowship Awardee. She will be studying how Asian Americans utilize the speech of other communities in order to construct unique identities. She has studied abroad in China, Taipei, Taiwan and Seoul, South Korea.
Liz Dawson is attending Penn State University in State College, where she earned multiple academic scholarships. She is majoring in English literature and creative writing. In her freshman year, Liz enjoyed a seminar in mystery writing, Psychology II, Medieval History, and English Short Stories, & Statistics. She also enjoys care packages sent her way, especially if they contain cookies.
Brandon Detweiler is attending Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. He is playing on the ODU Golf Team, having earned a very generous golf scholarship. His education at Veritas has also helped him as he has received an equally generous academic scholarship. Brandon is studying Business Management. One highlight of Brandon's golfing career is his match play at the U.S. Amateur Golf Championship. Daniel Droz is currently enrolled at Franklin and Marshall College, where he has been recognized as a Marshall scholar and won the Michael Albert Lewis Memorial Prize in Physics in the end of his freshman year. He is living at home and commuting to classes. His majors are math and physics. He continues to sing with the College Chorus performing the likes of Faure's Requiem and Dvorak's Te Deum. Daniel is also continuing his organ studies.
Baylor Long is working as the morning producer for WTAJ TV in Altoona, PA. He graduated in the the fall of 2009 from Penn State and started immediately at the CBS affiliate. He works the overnight shifts writing and producing the two hour morning show. He is excited about his future as a producer in the news business.
At Penn State University in State College, he earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism with an emphasis in Sports broadcasting. He served as Student General Manager for ComRadio, Penn State's student-run radio station. His duties include developing the station's web site, directing the first 46 hour-a-THON ever, overseeing daily operations and directing remote broadcasts. He also served as a PSU football broadcaster for 3 seasons games, most notably the Valero Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas and the 2008 regular season game at Ohio State.
Jenna Melton is a 2007 Veritas Academy graduate. She attends Geneva College in Western Pennsylvania double majoring in Pre-Med and an Independant Liberal Arts Major (focusing on Philosophy, Humanities, Mission, and Bible). She also is taking a minor in Chemistry. In her free time (if there is any) she enjoys the outdoors, Medieval reenacting, and girls rugby.
Jeremy Chen is a 2007 Veritas Academy graduate. He attends Princeton University majoring in civil engineering and minoring in architecture. He is the coordinator for "SEEK Justice", a campaign to raise money and awareness for World Vision's ministry to children of war in Uganda.
Joshua Chen is a 2007 Veritas Academy graduate. He attends Virginia Tech majoring in civil and environmental engineering and transportation infrastructure and systems engineering. Summer of 2009 he studied in Taipei, Taiwan and he is currently studying at The University of Hong Kong for one year. He is an active member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship and is the main editor of their periodical.
Deborah Arrick graduated from Veritas Academy in 2007. She will be attending Lancaster Bible College in the fall of 2010, majoring in music voice performance.
Stephen Liu attends University of Pittsburg as a finance major. He is also considering an additional major in economics. In the summer of 2008, Stephen worked full time as an accounting assistant at Ambassadors for Christ.
Alison Sailer is a 2008 Veritas Academy graduate. She attends Temple University, majoring in music therapy with a minor in philosophy. She hopes to work in hospice as a music therapist and then further pursue philosophy in graduate school.
Hannah Hoover is a 2008 Veritas Academy graduate. She attends Grove City College, majoring in communications. On campus she has been working for Media Services as an A/V technician. She is also playing in the orchestra and part of a big/little sister program with freshmen girls. She is a member of the Crown and Scepter women's honorary service group.
John Hayward is a 2008 Veritas Academy graduate. He attends Grove City College, majoring in history. "I am using a lot of Dante to explain the relationship between the foundations of Rome and the teachings of Jesus, and learning to love it more."
Jordan Melton is a 2008 Veritas Academy graduate. She attends Grove City College, majoring in electrical engineering.
Megan Petticoffer is a 2008 Veritas Academy graduate. Megan has attended Lancaster Bible College.
Meghan Lake is a 2008 Veritas Academy graduate. She attends Appalachian College, majoring in Bible with a minor in elementary education. She has enjoyed participating in a traveling puppet team with the college. In her own words, she expresses "All those years of rhetoric have paid off. I have been getting A's in speech class and my confidence is a lot higher than most of my classmates...Thank you so much for the wonderful education. It has served me well."
Rachel Arrick is a 2008 Veritas Academy graduate. In Aug 2009 she graduated from Lancaster County Career and Technology Center third in her class.
Jonathan Lake is a 2009 Veritas Academy graduate. He attends Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) majoring in physical education.
Christiana Bewersdorff is a 2010 Veritas Academy graduate. She is headed to Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) to begin her studies to become a nurse practitioner.
Marianna Bewersdorff is a 2010 Veritas Academy graduate. She will be attending Lancaster Bible College as an education major.
Ariana Hoover is a 2010 Veritas Academy graduate. She is heading to Lancaster Bible College (LBC) in the fall to study athletics, Bible and music.

Grace Jackson is a 2010 Veritas Academy graduate. She is looking forward to taking a year off before pursuing further education.
