Welcome to the Veritas Academy Guidance Page!
This area of our website will help secondary students prepare for college admissions, financial aid, and other post Veritas opportunities. At Veritas Academy, we offer three kinds of support for students interested in planning for, or taking the next step to college or career. They are personal resources, online resources, and traditional resources (brochures, guides, etc.,) at our guidance resource center located in the school office.
Veritas’ guidance counselor is Mrs. Maria Taormina. She is our most important personal resource for secondary students. She works with our secondary administration and with Mrs. Krista Sultzbach to help students at Veritas discover the best path forward to follow God’s calling on their life. She assists students and families assess gifts, abilities, and interests. She supports students as they make decisions about which colleges to apply to, how to fill out applications, and how to navigate their way through applying for financial aid. She also works with students preparing them for personal interviewing as they visit colleges or apply for a job.
This web page is our main portal to a plethora of online resources. These online resources list dates and places for SATs, help students with prep for these important tests, assist families as they consider what schools might be right for them. Here is a list of our online resources:
Also available is Veritas Academy's College Planning Guide. This is an excellent resource you can download to your computer and/or print off.
Finally, we have a guidance resource center at Veritas Academy. This is located in the school office near Mrs. Sultzbach’s desk. Secondary students are encouraged to drop by, take a look at the resources that we have, talk with Mrs. Sultzbach, and set times to meet with Mrs. Taormina, Mr. Fischer, Headmaster, or Mr. Dennis, Secondary Dean.
If you have any questions about how to get started please contact Mrs. Taormina or Mrs. Sultzbach at Guidance@VeritasAcademy.com or call Mrs. Taormina at 717-392-8092 or Mrs. Sultzbach at 717-556-0690.
