Kevin Ream joined the board in 2019 and is a member of the finance committee. Kevin is Director of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Services at Wohlsen Construction and is also a partner and CFO of Brookstone Industries (a sheet metal fabrication company).
Kevin was born and raised in southern York County and served in the US Marine Corps Reserve for four years before moving to Lancaster County in 1996. Kevin and his wife Mylene have two children, Elianna and Malachi, who both attend Veritas Academy. The Reams are members of Lancaster Evangelical Free Church.
Pete Lielbriedis joined the Board in 2015. He and Lauren and their 3 children, Laura, Aaron, and Caitlin, moved to the Lancaster area in 2008 and the children. Pete graduated from Allegheny College with a BA in Psychology, and earned graduate degrees at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and American University before earning his Doctorate in Psychology. He currently is a clinical psychologist at the Berks VA clinic for the Lebanon VAMC. The Lielbriedis family attends Calvary Church and the children are students at Veritas.
Daniel Spanjer graduated from Nyack College with a BA in History and from Reformed Theological Seminary (Orlando) with a MA Theology. In April, 2016, he successfully defended his dissertation at the University at Albany, SUNY. He has taught at Nyack College, University at Albany, and is currently the Chair of the Arts and Sciences Department and Professor of History at Lancaster Bible College. He is married to Tara Spanjer and they have three daughters who attend Veritas Academy: Meghan, Emily, and Katelyn.
Tim Bender teaches Leadership to our senior class, serves as an adviser to the school board, and is a member of the Finance Committee. He has over 20 years of experience in banking and most recently served as the Cheif Credit and Operations Officer-SVP for Bank of Bird-in-Hand. Tim and his wife Wilma live in New Holland and have 3 sons, of whom two are Veritas graduates, and one who is currently in grammar school. Tim is a member of Zeltenreich Reformed Church.
Randall Wenger Esq. serves as an advisor to the board. He is the Chief Counsel of the Independence Law Center in Harrisburg. Randall has an economics degree from the University of Chicago and earned his J.D. at the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Lancaster County, and he and his wife Tina have 7 children.
Scott Forbes is a graduate of Towson University (BS- Business) and U of Pittsburgh (MBA). He served on the attack submarine USS KEY West (SSN 722) and then as a Naval Acquisition Contracting Officer in the Naval Air Systems Command. Scott also worked in pharmaceutical sales with Merck & Co for 16 years. He currently serves local farmers as a Dairy Nutritional Consultant. Scott and Rhonda have been members of Westminster Presbyterian Church for 22 years. Scott is married to Rhonda and they have two daughters and two sons. The older three are K-12 Veritas Graduates with the youngest currently a senior at Veritas. Scott previously served on the board from 2001-2016.
Beth McCollom was born and raised in Lancaster County and is a graduate of Shippensburg University where she received a B.S. in Business Administration. She has served her community for over 10 years as a committee chair and event chair for the Norlanco Relay for Life. Beth and her husband Mark have 2 children, Alexander who attends Penn State University and Grace who is a student at Veritas Academy. The McColloms are members of the Ephrata Church of the Brethren.
Andrew Long is the director in business development/entrepreneur-in-residence at Ben Franklin Technology Partners. He completed his education at Millersville University in 2002. Andrew has held leadership positions at several firms including SiteStrux Inc., Interstellar, Listrak, eBay Inc., Magento, and Indaba Group. Andy and his wife Sonya have four children: Silas, Millie, Rowan and Ezra. The Longs are members at All Saints Church.
Eric Seeger is a principal of Altman Weil, Inc. where he advises law firms in the US and Canada on strategy and organizational issues. He co-authors Altman Weil’s highly-regarded annual industry survey, Law Firms in Transition. Eric also served as Chief Operating Officer in one law firm and Director of Strategic Planning and Practice Group Management in another. He holds an MBA and B.A. (philosophy) from Tulane University and an M.A. (Leadership Studies) from Lancaster Bible College. Eric and his wife, Nancy, first enrolled their two sons at Veritas in 2007. Eric joined the board in 2015.
